Overnight Oats

We love overnight oats because they are high in fibre (which is beneficial for good gut health), and also because they keep you feeling full for a longer period of time. Overnight oats can also be delicious depending on what ‘add-ons’ you include, like in the recipe below.

Soaking oats overnight helps the starches break down and reduces the natural phytic acid, which may help your body utilise the oats’ nutrients much more efficiently.

Overnight Oats

  • Soak 1 cup of steel cut oats with 1 cup of nut mylk overnight.
  • In the morning, add 1 cup of nut mylk (or water) and gently cook for 10-15 minutes.

Take off the heat and add:

  • 1-2 frozen bananas
  • A pinch of sea salt
  • A pinch of cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon flaxseed
  • 1 tablespoon chia seeds
  • 3 scoops of Probiotic+ BASE Powder

Serves 3-4.
